Canada: Collins Barrow Nova Scotia Partner Talks Tax With Province’s Real Estate Lawyers
Last Updated: December 15 2014

Halifax, NS – John Oakey, CA, a tax partner with Collins Barrow Nova Scotia Inc., will be giving a seminar on "HST in Real Property" on December 9, 2014 at the Annual Real Estate Conference presented by the Real Estate Lawyers Association of Nova Scotia (RELANS).

Mr. Oakey will be outlining the HST implications of holding real property, whether as vacant lands, those undergoing or slated for construction or intended for or operating as mixed use.

"Because the  tax application differs under each of those circumstances, real estate lawyers need to fully grasp its potential effect on property transactions," says Mr. Oakey.
