Last Updated: December 5 2014

Young Women in Energy (YWE) launched its inaugural Young Women in Energy Awards Program. The first of its kind in North America, this awards program recognizes and rewards five to ten young women who are going above and beyond to change the face of energy. The purpose of the awards program is to recognize the top female talent in the industry who demonstrate leadership and are role models and catalysts for collaboration. BLG is pleased to announce that senior associate Chidinma Thompson, PhD, is a recipient of a 2014 YWE Award.

Young Women in Energy was founded to champion the interests of young women working in energy, locally and internationally. YWE aims to address the recognized need to increase female presence, development and leadership in the energy industry. YWE is building an authentic community where members join because they are genuinely interested in connecting with and learning from peers.
