United States: Fox’s Harry Jackson Elected To Nanticoke Lenni-Lenape Tribal Council
Last Updated: November 26 2014

Fox Rothschild LLP is pleased to announce that Harry Jackson III was elected to the Tribal Council of his Native American tribe, the Nanticoke Lenni-Lenape Tribal Nation.  The nine-member council is charged with the legislative governance of the Tribe, establishing tribal laws, resolutions and administrative and fiscal policies.

While on the council, Jackson will be responsible for coding tribal laws, creating a system for non-native attorneys to request permission to appear before the tribal courts and advising the Principal Justice in matters arising in the Tribal Supreme Court.

Both Jackson's father and grandfather previously served terms as Tribal Councilmen.

The Nanticoke Lenni-Lenape Indians, the largest American Indian Tribe in New Jersey, are a tribal confederation of the core families of the Nanticoke and Lenni-Lenape whose homelands have been in Southern New Jersey and the Delmarva Peninsula from ancient times.

Jackson, an associate with the firm, is a member Corporate Department and focuses his practice on gaming law matters.  He is an active member of the Atlantic County Bar Association and is vice-chairman of the New Jersey Bar Association Casino Law Section.  Jackson also volunteers for educational programs in schools throughout the area.
