Cyprus: Offshore 2020: Looking Forward: An Industry On The Move
Last Updated: 17 November 2014

Elias Neocleous, head of our firm's corporate and commercial department, and Elena Christodoulou, an associate in the department, represented Andreas Neocleous & Co LLC at the fifth annual Offshore 2020 seminar held at the Four Seasons Hotel in Limassol on 4 November.

The event was organised by Offshore Incorporations Group, one of Asia's leading company formation specialists serving professional intermediary clients worldwide. In preparation for the event, the organisers had undertaken a survey of more than 300 major industry stakeholders, to identify the key issues for the sector.

The results of the survey were presented at the seminar, and Elias Neocleous was one of a panel of experts who were asked to debate and give their views on the challenges currently facing the offshore/midshore sector, the extent to which it has been affected by recent developments in the economic and political landscape and the prospects for the sector. The discussion covered a wide range of issues, including UBO disclosure, the legitimacy of tax planning and the effects of the US FATCA regulation.
