The Chair of the Australian Maritime and Transport Arbitration Commission (AMTAC) Peter McQueen invites you to attend an AMTAC Seminar on:

Foreign Award Enforcement and Public Policy

This seminar will focus on the notion of public policy as expressly referred to in the award enforcement process under the New York Convention and in the Model Law and will be presented from the perspectives of the judiciary, the arbitrator and arbitration counsel.

It will include an outline of the structure of the award enforcement process under the New York Convention and in the Model Law on International Commercial Arbitration and an analysis of the nature of the relationship between, and the respective roles of, the supervisory court of the arbitration seat and the enforcement court.
