Australia: Corrs Brisbane on the move
Last Updated: 21 October 2014

Premium independent national law firm Corrs Chambers Westgarth is poised to move to its new open and flexible Brisbane office at ONE ONE ONE Eagle Street. The move is part of the firm's continued evolution towards occupying workspaces of the future.

Corrs partner and CEO John W.H. Denton said this was the next step in Corrs' shift to more modern and collaborative work environments.

"The new Corrs Brisbane office at ONE ONE ONE Eagle Street has been designed to help achieve our firm strategy: collaboration, learning and knowledge sharing, working with clients and building the business. The move will further embed a culture of collaboration and will create an inspiring workplace for our people."

The move cements Corrs' commitment to embrace new technologies, innovative workspaces and create a open and flexible working environment.

The new premises will occupy Sky Rise levels 41-44 (6000 sqm) in the prestigious premium grade office tower that is located at the core of Brisbane's CBD "Golden Triangle" precinct.

This is the second in a series of moves for Corrs' four national offices, with Melbourne and Perth to follow. Corrs' Sydney office relocated as flagship tenants of 8 Chifley Square in Sydney's CBD in late 2013, Perth announced it will lease premises in the new 123 St Georges Terrace development (Brookfield Place Tower 2), and Corrs' Melbourne office will take space in the new 26-level premium tower at 567 Collins Street mid 2015.

The open and flexible workplace is designed to encourage greater connectivity, efficiency and flexibility.

"Our vision for a collaborative workplace has been translated to reality with world class ONE ONE ONE Eagle Street. Our people will benefit from award winning new technologies and greater connectivity," said Mr Denton.

Corrs Brisbane will have access to the industry leading innovative technology solutions recently implemented at 8 Chifley which was recognised with the Innovation in Legal IT Award at The Lawtech Conference Awards 2014.

The move coincides with Corrs' one year anniversary at 8 Chifley, Sydney, when the firm became the first major Australian law firm to adopt a fully open and flexible workplace. Corrs Brisbane's first day at ONE ONE ONE Eagle Street will be Monday 20 October 2014.

The leading design and innovative architecture of ONE ONE ONE Eagle Street was recognised by the Australian Institute of Architects Brisbane Awards, jointly winning Brisbane Building of the Year in 2013. The building has achieved the highest Green Star rating available with a 6 Star Green Star and 5 Star NABERS Energy rating. Corrs' clients and staff will benefit from the location of ONE ONE ONE Eagle Street and its exclusive river address, positioned at the core of Brisbane CBD's "Golden Triangle" precinct - close to all modes of transport with the best in retail, food and services.
