Mexico: Strasburger and Struck, Palafox y Pérez Ortega, S.C. Form Strategic Mexico-Based Joint Venture

Mexico City, Mexico—Strasburger & Price, LLP, through its Mexican subsidiary Strasburger & Price, S.C. (collectively Strasburger), has commenced a joint venture with the Mexico City firm Struck, Palafox y Pérez Ortega, S.C. (SPPO). The joint venture will operate in Mexico City as Strasburger & SPPO, S.C.

Working in tandem with U.S.-based Strasburger attorneys, the joint venture will provide significant experience and know-how in a number of critical legal areas, including banking and international project finance, capital markets, M&A, joint ventures and other strategic alliances, general corporate issues, bankruptcy and workout matters, litigation and dispute resolution (including multi-jurisdictional litigation), energy, franchise and distribution, maquiladora issues, telecommunications and infrastructure development, and transportation and logistics matters. With access to Mexican and U.S. licensed attorneys, Strasburger & SPPO, S.C. will also assist with immigration, customs and trade regulations, and all other types of cross-border transactions. The joint venture will have an unparalleled ability to serve companies looking to invest in Mexican businesses.

Strasburger's Mexico City office has been in place for many years and is currently headed by Partner-in-Charge Luis Fernando Gomar. Strasburger's international team, including its Mexico-based lawyers, have decades of experience representing U.S. and European clients with their endeavors in Mexico and the rest of Latin America as well as assisting Latin American clients with their efforts in the U.S.

SPPO is a Mexico City-based law firm founded by a group of talented lawyers with large firm experience in Mexico and abroad. SPPO attorneys provide general corporate and securities advice, and have extensive experience in M&A, real estate, infrastructure and financing transactions in both the domestic (Mexico) and international arenas.
