United States: Fox Rothschild Works Pro Bono on Behalf of Legal Services Corporation
Last Updated: August 27 2014

Fox Rothschild LLP Partner Charles A. De Monaco recently provided pro bono assistance to the Legal Services Corporation (LSC) in a law suit filed in federal court against LSC raising a federal question and Constitutional challenge. The case was successfully resolved in favor of LSC.

LSC, headed by a bipartisan board of 11 directors appointed by the President of the United States and confirmed by the Senate, is the largest funder of civil legal aid for low-income Americans. Operating as a nonprofit corporation, LSC advances access to justice by providing grants to 134 legal services programs operating more than 800 offices throughout the country.

The LSC board of directors extended its gratitude to De Monaco and Fox Rothschild in a resolution highlighting the work done by De Monaco and the positive outcome achieved in the litigation.

De Monaco consistently has been included in the annual list of "Best Lawyers in America" and concentrates his practice in commercial litigation and white collar criminal defense, securities litigation, director and officer liability, corporate compliance and governance, environmental litigation and health care litigation.
