Guernsey: Collas Crill Are Citywealth Law Firm Of The Year Finalists
Last Updated: 13 August 2014

Collas Crill's Fiduciary teams are finalists in the Jersey and Guernsey Law Firm of the Year categories of Citywealth's International Finance Centre Awards 2015.

Citywealth awards are judged by a panel of high profile judges, but there is also an element of industry recommendation by way of voting via the Citywealth site.

May we count on your vote?

Collas Crill's Guernsey team, headed by partner Angela Calnan, won the Guernsey category last year.

She said: "We are a relatively new team and have invested heavily in recruitment and innovation in the past three years. The hard work has really started to pay off with revenue growth of over 20% year-on-year for the past two years and with the team winning more complex international mandates and institutional business. This is particularly pleasing in times where the market has been static or slow and indicates an increase in our share of that market.

"It would be absolutely lovely to replicate last year's win although the nominees comprise some impressive competition, as always..."

David Dorgan from Collas Crill's Jersey team said: "Our fiduciary team has strongly emphasised friendly, proficient, cost-effective and timely service which, in recent times, has seen us win new, and retain, existing clients in Jersey's highly competitive fiduciary legal market.

"We have also been successful in obtaining multiple instructions from further afield, principally from an international firm of New York Attorneys on matters of Jersey trust law, demonstrating that our reputation in the marketplace successfully continues to grow beyond our shores. It would be utterly brilliant to win this award from amongst our nominated peers to demonstrate our position in the marketplace."

Now in their fourth year, the Citywealth International Financial Centre Awards were established to highlight the excellence of the advisors and managers in the private wealth sector in the major international financial centres.

Citywealth editor Karen Jones said: "In what has been a period of extreme turbulence and continuing change for clients this is when quality advice is at a premium. It is when the best of the best really stand out."
