Canada: McCarthy Tétrault Tops Corporate Finance League Tables For Q2 2014

Toronto, July 24, 2014 — McCarthy Tétrault is pleased to announce that it topped the Financial Post's Legal Post corporate finance league tables for Q2 2014, which measured debt and equity financing activity in Canada during the quarter.

In addition, the firm acted on eight of the biggest debt and equity public offerings for the second quarter. Specifically, it advised Canadian issuers on three of the largest debt securities public offerings and five of the largest equity public offerings.

  • #1 advisor to issuers on combined debt and equity offerings, by deal value (with 14 deals valued at C$7.75 billion)
  • #1 advisor to issuers on debt offerings, by deal value (with 6 deals valued at C$6.04 billion)
  • #1 advisor to underwriters on combined debt and equity offerings, by deal count (with 16 deals valued at C$2.61 billion)
  • #1 advisor to underwriters on equity offerings, by deal count (with 12 deals valued at C$1.47 billion)
