Australia: Sparke Helmore in Melbourne expands Government team with new partner and senior associate appointments

Sparke Helmore Lawyers is pleased to announce the lateral recruitment of Robert Watson, Partner, and Shelley Naylor, Senior Associate.

Having secured a place on the Commonwealth Government's Legal Services MultiUse List (LSMUL) in every category of legal work in 2012, we are committed to growing our capabilities and geographic coverage for the Government. Robert and Shelley's arrival certainly enhances our existing strong team in Melbourne and nationally," said Richard Morrison, Sparke Helmore's Government National Practice Group Leader.

Robert Watson has joined our Government Group's Commercial team. He is a Commonwealth Government procurement specialist, with extensive experience in major projects, complex acquisitions and communication assets. Robert joins the firm from Minter Ellison. Before joining private practice he spent six years working for the Commonwealth Attorney-General's Department.

Also joining from Minter Ellison is Shelley Naylor, a senior associate. Shelley has considerable experience advising on Commonwealth and state government projects and major procurements, as well as on large banking and finance transactions.
