Australia: Helene Lee and Adrienne Parker join Norton Rose Fulbright
Last Updated: 19 July 2014

Global legal practice Norton Rose Fulbright announced today that it has appointed Helene Lee and Adrienne Parker as partners in its Melbourne and Perth offices respectively.

Ms Lee is a highly respected employment and labour law specialist. She has significant private practice experience with Corrs Chambers Westgarth and Harmers Workplace Lawyers, as well as in-house experience with Telstra. She has worked on a broad range of employment, industrial relations and anti-discrimination matters across many sectors, including mining, finance, health and construction.

During her six years at Telstra, including three as General Counsel, HR Legal Services, Helene was responsible for managing all legal issues concerning the company's employees.

Ms Parker specialises in major construction, engineering and resources projects work, and was previously a partner at Clayton Utz. A senior practitioner well known to the Perth market, she has focussed on matters involving traditional procurement, alliance or public private partnership, and has also acted in many large-scale complex disputes.

Wayne Spanner, managing partner of Norton Rose Fulbright Australia, said the new partners would help cement the firm's employment and labour, and construction and major projects teams as leaders in the domestic and regional markets.

"Our national employment and labour law team is already a dominant performer. With Helene's mix of private practice and in-house experience, this will only continue," he said. "Adding someone of Adrienne's experience and skill will also be of benefit to both our national construction and major projects practice as well as that of our Perth office."

Ms Lee has a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Melbourne, while Ms Parker has a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Western Australia.

The two appointments mark seven new partners for Norton Rose Fulbright in Australia in 2014, including four lateral appointments. The other lateral partners appointed this year are Keira Brennan (Brisbane) and Ray Giblett (Sydney).
