Last Updated: 12 May 2014

Rockwell Olivier is pleased to announce two new appointments to its Sydney team: Samantha Cook in Corporate/International Business and Patrick Huang in Financial Services.

Samantha Cook is the newest member of the Corporate/International Business team. With extensive experience working in China, Samantha has a wealth of knowledge in the region, particularly in cross-border M&A and corporate advisory matters. Samantha's main interest is in regulatory and corporate governance issues affecting Chinese outbound investments, along with general commercial law.

The Corporate/International Business team forms the core of the Pacific Legal Network by Rockwell Olivier, a specialised business and legal advisory service offering which focuses on corporate and commercial law in the Asia Pacific region. The Pacific Legal Network has offices in over two dozen Pacific jurisdictions and affiliate relationships with law firms in the United States of America, Indonesia, Singapore, India, and China.

Patrick Huang joins the Financial Services team as a taxation lawyer. Patrick's experience comes from several years he spent in a Big Four accounting firm. His focus is on international tax, particularly cross-border employment taxation and international corporate tax. Patrick has experience in M&A due diligence and employee share schemes, and also preparing tax returns and dealing with ATO audits and rulings for his clients.

Rockwell Olivier's Financial Services team assists clients with commercial taxation matters across a wide range of industries and family business structures. Argyle Private by Rockwell Olivier, another specialised legal service offering, provides advice and assistance to clients in their personal affairs including succession planning, superannuation and taxation matters, estate planning, family law, property settlements, employment issues and trusts.
