Japan: Orrick Sho Kokusai Expands Corporate Practice in Tokyo

Top international law firm, Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP has today announced that Japanese corporate attorney Etsuo Doi has joined Sho Kokusai Law Offices, the registered associated law office of Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP, as a partner in the Sho Kokusai Law Offices.

"The addition of Doi-sensei to the Japanese law practice of Orrick Sho Kokusai not only will greatly help to ensure our success in Japan, but it also fits squarely with our commitment to deepening our capabilities as an international law firm," said Ralph H. Before joining Orrick Sho Kokusai, Doi served as the general counsel of eBay Japan, overseeing all legal aspects of the company. Fluent in English, he is admitted to practice law in both Japan and the State of New York. Doi received an LL.B. in law from the University of Tokyo in Japan and an LL.M. from the Columbia University School of Law. Earlier in his career, Doi interned at Morrison & Foerster’s Palo Alto and San Francisco offices.
