United States: State Of The Region: How The ADL Is Addressing Hate And Bigotry In The Southeast
Last Updated: April 24 2014

On April 3, 2014, Waller had the honor of hosting a lunch presentation by the Anti-Defamation League.  Shelley Rose, Interim Director for the Southeast Region of the ADL, shared with the audience the mission of the ADL and the specific initiatives being undertaken by the Southeast Regional office.

The presentation opened and closed with a moving video that imagines what a world without hate might look like.  Over 60 people from Nashville's business, religious, and Waller communities attended the event.  Thank you to the ADL for bringing their message to Nashville.

The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) fights anti-Semitism and all forms of bigotry in the U.S. and abroad through information, education, legislation, and advocacy. ADL serves as a resource for government, media, law enforcement, educators and the public.

"The immediate object of the League is to stop, by appeals to reason and conscience and, if necessary, by appeals to law, the defamation of the Jewish people. Its ultimate purpose is to secure justice and fair treatment to all citizens alike and to put an end forever to unjust and unfair discrimination against and ridicule of any sect or body of citizens."
