Last Updated: 8 April 2014

DQ is delighted to announce the recent call to the Manx Bar of Leanne McKeown, Rose Dugdale and Tara Cubbon.

Rose and Tara joined the firm as trainee advocates in September 2011 and spent time in a number of teams within DQ during their training contract. Both Rose and Tara have qualified into the dispute resolution department and are already busy with their own caseloads.

Tara Cubbon, commented "I am delighted to have been commissioned as an Advocate and I'm extremely thankful to DQ for supporting me through the two years of training leading up to my qualification. DQ has provided me with invaluable experience on high profile and interesting matters; allowing me to work closely with DQ directors and senior advocates as a valued member of the team. I'm looking forward to developing my career as an Advocate and am excited to be doing this with DQ".

Rose Dugdale, added "I am thrilled to have been commissioned as an Isle of Man Advocate. Over the past two years, I have been very fortunate to have been involved in a number of interesting and challenging instructions and have gained invaluable experience in a variety of areas. I am looking forward to the challenges that a career in Law will bring and to developing and building my career with DQ."

Leanne joined DQ in July 2011 from Wilson Nesbitt in Belfast, where she had been practising for a number of years as a Northern Irish Solicitor, specialising in employment law and commercial litigation. Since arriving on the Island, Leanne has impressed clients with her specialist knowledge and meticulous attention to detail. Legal 500, one of the leading law directories notes that Leanne is 'a highly skilled lawyer with excellent presentation ability'. Leanne will continue to assist clients with her specialist employment law knowledge and her call to the Manx Bar has already resulted in a growth in her dispute resolution and commercial litigation caseload.

Leanne McKeown, stated that she is "delighted to now be a fully qualified Manx Advocate, enabling me to provide seamless advice and representation for my clients. I am excited about the next phase of my career at DQ, continuing to build on our reputation for first class client service".

Director & head of the dispute resolution team, Giles Hill, commented:

"I would like to offer my congratulations to Tara, Rose and Leanne on their well deserved qualification as Manx Advocates. Throughout their time at DQ they have shown themselves to be bright, dedicated and talented individuals who are a real asset to DQ. I am delighted that Tara and Rose have chosen to embark on their careers within our rapidly expanding dispute resolution team. Leanne has already established herself as a valuable member of the department and I have no doubt that she will continue to build up her commercial litigation and employment law practice."
