Cayman Islands: DCI Seeks Sponsors for Entrepreneurship Day Event
Last Updated: 17 March 2014

Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands The Department of Commerce and Investment (DCI) is seeking corporate sponsors for the second celebration of Cayman Entrepreneurship Day, which will take place on Thursday, 10 April at the Family Life Centre.

Last year, more than 30 exhibitors showcased their products and services at the event, which included a small business expo; technical assistance workshops; face-to-face meetings with accomplished entrepreneurs; a platform for budding entrepreneurs to present their business ideas; and a cocktail reception and business networking event.

DCI is looking for partners willing to assist in building a strong business-focused nation, while also gaining visibility for their products and services through corporate sponsorships. Benefits of sponsoring this event range from company mentions in all event promotions to participation on the judges' panel.

Sponsors so far include the Department of Tourism, Cayman National Bank, Cayman Enterprise City, Davenport Development Ltd, and Mary Lou's Fine Wine and Spirits.

DCI Director Ryan Rajkumarsingh said, 'We are delighted to have these sponsors on board. We are encouraging others who also share in our vision to invest in our community by assisting local businesses. We expect this event to be informative, and we look forward to seeing the vibrancy of our small business community on display'.

Organiser Charmaine Moss stated that sponsoring this event will give small business owners a chance to network and connect their business. Sponsors can also highlight and elevate their own business to a whole new level by becoming an event sponsor.

'Becoming a sponsor is a great way to help enhance your visibility in the business community, allowing you to stand out from your competitors, introduce your business, brand, products and services to potential new buyers, and allows your brand to come face to face with those in your target demographics', she said. A list of partnership opportunities is available. For more information on how you can support this event, please contact Ms Moss at cmoss@dci.gov.ky.
