McCarthy Tétrault Acts in Largest Ever Eastern Europe Syndicated Financingtrault, Canada’s Business Law Firm of the Year, acted for a consortium of international banks in the $300 million financing of Mobifon SA, Romania’s largest private sector mobile phone operator. The financing was the largest private sector financing in Romania, and the largest syndicated financing ever undertaken in Eastern Europe. The transaction was completed in less than 3 months.

McCarthy Tétrault acted for the EBRD, Nordic Investment Bank and Export Development Canada as the lead banks and ABN AMRO and Bank Austria Creditanstalt as joint mandated lead arrangers and underwriters. The syndication was oversubscribed.
