Ukraine: Sayenko Kharenko Will Advise The European Union Delegation To Ukraine On Effectiveness Of Implementation Of Provisions Of The Criminal Procedural Code In Ukraine

Sayenko Kharenko has been contracted to implement a 12-months long EU-funded project: "Implementation analysis of Ukrainian Criminal Procedural Code" (the "CPC"). The project's purpose is to monitor court cases and analyse the way the CPC and related legislation's provisions are interpreted and applied.

The expected results of the project are:

  • Monitoring conducted and analysis provided of issues related to CPC implementation
  • Daily information provided on media coverage (both nation-wide and specialised) on CPC-related legislation's implementation complemented by this project's experts opinions on court cases.
  • Daily updates, weekly legal updates and monthly reports on CPC-implementation related issues provided.
  • Specific recommendations for improvement of CPC and related legislation provisions as the result of monitoring of court cases issued.

The project's findings will be shared with the Government of Ukraine, judiciary, legal profession and civil society during regular information sessions.  

Presentation of the project was held at the Forum of the Ukrainian Bar Association"The first anniversary of the application of the Criminal Procedural Code of Ukraine."
