Australia: Coleman Greig Community Initiatives for 2013
Last Updated: 9 December 2013

Our community involvement is a huge part of not just what we do, but who we are at Coleman Greig. We are proud to align ourselves with local charities and with the support of our clients and business partners, we are able to fundraise for these worthy causes and give back to the community.

Women in Business

Our Women in Business Forum has had its most successful year of fundraising to date.

This year the forum supported three fantastic causes, the Asthma Foundation, Westmead Medical Research Foundation and St.George Foundation. We raised $30 348, bringing the total money raised for various charities over the past seven years to over $121 000.

We welcomed the University of Western Sydney as a major sponsor of Women in Business in 2013. As a result of this collaboration, we were honoured to have received a 2013 UWS Partnership Award which recognises outstanding partnerships between the University, external organisations and individuals, particularly in Greater Western Sydney.

Coleman Greig GWS Executive Challenge in support of Northcott and St. Gabriel's School

As you may know we have been supporting Northcott and St. Gabriel's School for a number of years. Over that time we have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to help children and adults with special needs.

This year we launched our inaugural Coleman Greig GWS Executive Challenge in early November. One hundred executives from across Western Sydney took part in a 12km run or a 40km cycle around Parramatta Park. It was fantastic to see so many local businesses come together to support two very worthy charities. We raised $45 000 for Northcott and St. Gabriel's School and the funds raised will go towards helping people with disabilities in Western Sydney.

Get on Stage

Coleman Greig has supported an initiative known as "Get on Stage" since it first began in 2009. Get on Stage has brought together organisations from the Western Sydney business community to fundraise for Beyond the Square who organise workshops in the arts for people with disabilities. The three course charity luncheon is held on the main stage at Riverside and this year raised $41 000.

Get on Stage will be held on Thursday, 29 May in 2014.

Thank you to everyone who supported Coleman Greig in our fundraising efforts. We look forward to working with you all again next year!
