United States: United States: Insurance Bad Faith Law Forum In Washington State On November 1 - Save The Date!
Last Updated: September 4 2013

Bad Faith litigation is increasing across the country.  Policyholder advocates argue that unfair claim practices are widespread.  Insurance companies respond that that they treat policyholders fairly.  The also maintain that excessive bad faith litigation imposes too heavy a burden on companies.  The Washington State legislature was among the first to regulate claim practices, but many others are considering following their lead.

I am participating on the "Duty to Settle" panel with Jacqueline Beatty from Karr Tuttle Campbell.  We will be covering  settling with and without the insured's consent, extra-contractual risk, and duties owed.

This one-day conference will provide corporate counsel, risk managers, legal counsel and insurance professionals a balanced view of Bad Faith fundamentals and an update on the most recent court developments.   The conference providers have complimentary seats available for in-house counsel and other corporate executives.
