Join us at either a breakfast or lunch briefing where Dispute Resolution & Insolvency Executive Counsel Matthew Pike and Senior Associate Jillian Parkin will cover the following topics:

  • Hardship, FOS, and Small Business - Matthew will discuss the 2013 amendments to the hardship provisions of the National Credit Code, the reach of FOS and the scope of the FOS powers. He will focus on how these amendments impact on small business borrowers.
  • New Code of Banking Practice - Decoded - Jillian will look at the new Code of Banking Practice that will commence on 1 February 2014. She will focus on the practical ramifications of changes brought in by the Code, including:
    • Enforcement of security generally; and
    • Guarantees.
