Chris Schenck Joins Patent Litigation Team

SEATTLE (May 29) – Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton announced today that Chris Schenck has joined the firm's internationally-recognized Intellectual Property Department. Mr. Schenck will be Counsel on the Patent Litigation Team in Kilpatrick Townsend's Seattle office.

Mr. Schenck focuses his practice on patent litigation for companies in the computer science and technology arena. He handles cases throughout the country and in the International Trade Commission (ITC). Mr. Schenck has devoted part of his practice to licensing intellectual property and to performing and coordinating open source and third-party code review for mergers, acquisitions and investment transactions. He also has experience prosecuting patents on a variety of subject matters ranging from simple mechanical devices to complicated encryption schemes and computer algorithms. Prior to joining the firm, he worked as a senior associate at Bracewell & Giuliani.

Mr. Schenck has been named a Rising Star in intellectual property litigation by Washington Law & Politics in each of the last three years. He earned his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center and his B.S. in Computer Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
