Isle of Man: Kerruish Law & Trust Joins Forces With DQ
Last Updated: 30 May 2013

Leading Isle of Man law firm Dougherty Quinn ("DQ") is delighted to announce that Kerruish Law & Trust ("KLT") will join forces with DQ with effect from 1 June 2013. KLT is a boutique law firm specialising in HNWI private client, corporate and commercial property.

KLT's managing director Paul Kerruish will join DQ on 1 June 2013 as a director and shareholder and will play an important strategic role in DQ's successful trust & private client department headed up by Annemarie Hughes. Paul will also head up DQ's commercial property department.

Tom Maher, director in DQ, commented:-

"This is a very exciting opportunity for DQ. KLT is a very similar firm to DQ and, like us, prides itself on providing the highest levels of service and building strong lasting relationships with its clients. Paul has built up a very successful firm and shares DQ's dynamic and innovative approach to doing business. The synergies in bringing the two firms together are clear and our clients will benefit from Paul's expertise in his key areas of practice. Paul is also well renowned by his clients as a trusted business adviser. We are all looking forward to building the business together and continuing the great success DQ has had since its creation just over five years ago. In this short time, we have built up one of the most successful law firms in the Island. We are very proud that our firm has half of the Isle of Man's top tier "Band 1" Corporate & Finance lawyers according to Chambers UK. Similarly, Paul is one of the Isle of Man's best private client and commercial lawyers and has been ranked among the Island's leading lawyers by Chambers and Legal 500. He will be a great addition to the DQ team."

Paul Kerruish, managing director of KLT, commented:-

"I am delighted to be integrating the business of KLT within DQ, a firm with an outstanding reputation and a team of talented lawyers and support staff who can provide existing KLT clients with a fuller range of legal services, expertise and resilience. Any successful merger relies on the two parties being the right 'cultural fit' – the directors of DQ, all of whom I have known for a very long time and greatly respect, share my own core values and approach to practising law and delivering the highest level of service and expertise to clients. This synergy will create one of the most efficient, client focused and ambitious firms on the Island. I am excited and proud to be part of this future."
