Ukraine: FIRST UAA /UKMA Summer School In International Commercial Arbitration

The Ukrainian Arbitration Association and the National University of Kyiv Mohyla Academy's Faculty of Law invite applications from interested students and faculty from Ukraine and other countries participate in an intensive five-day arbitration program in the summer of 2013.

This arbitration program familiarizes Ukrainian and international participants with the vital field of international commercial arbitration and promotes transnational understanding of arbitration as an efficient and effective mode of dispute resolution.

Eligibility: Advanced bachelor law students, graduate law students, and faculty from all over the world with an interest in international commercial arbitration and with a working knowledge of English are eligible to apply. The number of participants is limited to 30.

Place: Classes will take place at the premises of the National University of Kyiv Mohyla Academy in Kyiv.

Courses: The Summer Program's curriculum consists of basic and specialized courses in arbitration. All classes are conducted in English. They are offered Monday through Friday, full day. The program is composed of five sections covering key topics in international arbitration. Participants are introduced to the major aspects of arbitration proceedings and develop a practical understanding of the functioning of international commercial arbitration.

Costs: The Summer Program is free of charge. The participants are responsible for their own travel, accommodation and other costs.

Registration: The registration period starts on 20 May 2013 and ends on 20 July 2013.

The candidates are expected to submit: (1) a cover letter, (2) CV, (3) two letters of reference, (4) an essay in English on the topic "Future of ADR" (1000 words maximum) by e-mail to info(at) and training(at) with the subject: "Summer School 2013".
