Corporate and finance attorneys in the office deal with the complex needs of financial institutions, technology companies, and investors with respect to public and private financings, mergers and acquisitions, and a wide range of other commercial and financial needs. The office's intellectual property and litigation lawyers bring an aggressive approach to copyright, patent, trademark, trade secrets, unfair competition and other disputes. The employment law group represents clients such as McDonald's and NBC in all aspects of their employee relations. The office's public finance lawyers have been instrumental in the financing of much of the Southern California's infrastructure - notably the Rose Bowl, the Los Angeles Convention Center, and the San Padres' new ballpark.

The firm opened a London office in 1998 driven by its importance as a critical business and financial centre for clients.
