Last Updated: 12 March 2013

Shelston IP Partner Mark Vincent and Senior Associate Katrina Crooks have released a study commissioned by IT News. The study is entitled: 'Cloud Cover' and is a study into cloud computing contracts, two years on from the IT News release of a groundbreaking 2011 study. The study comprises a review of over 53 contracts from 18 providers. The authors point out what clauses to avoid - and also what clauses represent best practice for cloud computing contracts in Australia. The study can be found at: or you can read a summary article published today on the IT News website:,the-best-and-worst-of-cloud-contracts.aspx.

IT News will hold a webinar to answer your questions on the study. We don't have a date nailed down yet, but you can register your interest HERE.

Shelston IP offers a full range of IP registration and commercialisation services for the IT sector. Additionally Mark Vincent and his team can advise on all legal and compliance aspects of your next cloud computing initiative.
