Cayman Islands: Jennifer Fox Promoted To Partner In Cayman Dispute Resolution Team
Jennifer Fox, Ogier's newest Dispute Resolution partner in
the Cayman Islands, has worked on some of the largest offshore
disputes in the past decade.
Ogier announced the appointment of Jennifer - who specialises in
complex and high value international insolvency litigation and
contentious trusts matters - to partner on 1 September.
Jen, who first joined Ogier in 2014, has practised offshore for
over 10 years and has a number of years' 'on the
ground' experience in both Cayman and BVI. She acts for
insolvency office holders and advises trustees and other
fiduciaries, is a qualified trusts and estates practitioner and is
actively involved with industry bodies IWIRC, STEP and RISA. She
regularly appears as an advocate in the Financial Services Division
of Cayman's Grand Court.
Ogier's global head of Dispute Resolution, Rachael Reynolds,
said: "We are delighted that Jennifer has joined the Ogier
partnership. Jen has significant experience in the Cayman Islands
and BVI and an enviable track record working on some of the most
prominent offshore disputes in recent years including Fairfield
Sentry in BVI, the Saad litigation in Cayman, and most recently the
collapse of the Middle Eastern PE house, Abraaj.
"As well as being a technically excellent lawyer, Jen is
often praised for her commercial and pragmatic approach to
resolving disputes. She is described by clients as a "go-to
practitioner", "extremely bright, personable, and
hard-working", "a pleasure to work with" and as
someone who will "work very hard to achieve great results for
her clients". Her addition to our senior Cayman litigation
team is fantastic news and demonstrates our track record in
developing the extraordinary talent we have here at
Ogier."
