Cayman Islands: Campbells’ Associate Admitted To Bar
Campbells is pleased to announce that Demi McLean was admitted as an Attorney-at-Law
in the Cayman Islands last week.
Demi qualifies as an associate in the Litigation, Insolvency
& Restructuring Group and is developing a broad-based practice
specialising in civil, commercial and insolvency litigation. Demi
also advises on family law matters with a focus in contentious
ancillary relief proceedings in high net worth matrimonial cases.
When asked about how she feels about her new role Demi says:
"It is a proud moment in my life to be admitted as an attorney
of the Cayman Islands following several years of hard work and
perseverance, traits which I will continue to apply as my career
progresses. I am delighted to be joining Campbells' top tier
Litigation, Insolvency & Restructuring team as an associate
where I will work with and learn from some of the best attorneys on
island. I am determined to achieve my potential."
Demi joined Campbells in January 2018 when she commenced her
Articles of Clerkship. In addition to her training at Campbells,
Demi completed a secondment as a Judicial Clerk in the Grand Court
of the Cayman Islands and a secondment with a leading commercial
and chancery chambers in the UK where she gained experience of
cases spanning a wide range of legal areas.
Demi is a graduate of the BPP University in Manchester where she
was awarded a Graduate Diploma in Law and a Postgraduate Diploma in

conflict, Demi has always had a passion for law and this was
ignited through the debate team in high school. Originally from
Cayman Brac, Demi says: "I would not be where I am today
without the support of my family and close friends who have given
me help and encouragement throughout my educational
endeavours."

programme as well as sponsoring the St Ignatius A-Level law
