Melbourne, 26 February 2013: Clayton Utz's Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Intensive series for 2013 kicked off today in Melbourne, with over 200 attendees expected to attend the one-day program.

Held annually, the CLE Intensive series is a Clayton Utz initiative to provide our clients with access to relevant and practical information on recent developments in the law and legal practice, and help them earn compulsory Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points.

At today's CLE Intensive in Melbourne, Clayton Utz partners and lawyers will present on topics including Client legal privilege: principles and practice; Confidential information and departing employees: tips and traps; Dealing with breaches of contract: Termination and other rights and remedies; Keeping your business clean: Perspectives on foreign and local law prohibiting corruption and bribery; and an Industrial Relations 101 on adverse action, unfair dismissal, redundancy and other key concepts.

Later this week, our Sydney office will host over 600 clients for its 2013 CLE Intensive series. The program will run over two days, 28 February and 1 March. Clayton Utz partners and lawyers from across the firm's offices will present on over 20 topics including Coping with regulatory change; Funding in diverse capital markets; Tax issues in the corporate realm; Dealing with distressed companies; and Cyber threat: data and reputation risk in an online world. Guest speakers from industry and business will also present on topics including Australia's economic outlook, and sourcing and retaining legal resources in the current market.

The Clayton Utz CLE Intensive series is complemented by CU CLE TV, a Clayton Utz innovation that provides our clients' legal teams with access to high-quality, online CLE presentations, on demand. Since launching in 2010, over 850 clients have benefited from the accessibility and flexibility of CU CLE TV.
