Australia: Information Session Invitation: Doing Business in China

China is becoming increasingly important in the business world, regardless of the industry or sector. If China is part of your business strategy, you need to know what to expect when doing business in China.

Hall & Wilcox invite you to an interactive and informative session with Lindy Chen, Managing Director of ChinaDirect Sourcing, looking at:

  • the phenomenon that is China;
  • Chinese business etiquette; and
  • What to avoid when dealing with the Chinese.

After Lindy's session, there will be a panel discussion on the practical implications of doing business in China. Lindy will be invited on to the panel, as well as Eugene Chen, Senior Associate at Hall & Wilcox, and Grace Tsui, Senior Relationship Manager - Asian Market at Westpac. Facilitated by Bruce McFarlane, this will be a great opportunity to ask your questions about business in China, to ensure you are prepared before taking the next step.

About the speaker:

Lindy Chen is the founder and Managing Director of ChinaDirect Sourcing Services, and author of'Import From China. How To Make A Million...and Not Get Burnt!'.She formed ChinaDirect in 2005 to assist Australian companies see China not as a threat, but as theircompetitive advantage. In 2008, ChinaDirect were honoured by winning the Business Services category of the AustralianSmall Business Champion Awards for Qld.As a world leading authority on doing business with China, Lindy has featured in numerous publications and has been a finalist in several prestigious national and international awards. Lindy has fifteen years' experience in International Trade, and is a member of the Australia China Business Council.
