Australia: Norton Rose ranked as a top ten global legal brand
Last Updated: 16 December 2012

International legal practice Norton Rose has jumped six places in the annual Sharplegal 2012 Global Elite Brand Index. Published by market research and advisory firm Acritas, the index tracks the value of brands in the international legal market.

Norton Rose has been ranked 9th in this year's index, a jump from 15th in 2011.

The rankings are compiled from analysis of the Sharplegal 2012 Global Elite survey dataset. All data is derived from more than 1,000 interviews with respondents in US$1bn+ revenue organisations who have senior responsibility for buying legal services.

The index ranks firms according to four factors - awareness; favourability; multi-jurisdictional transactions capabilities and multi-jurisdictional litigation capabilities.

The Global Elite Brand Index report stated: "The ever-expanding Norton Rose is strategically positioned to service the growing legal needs of clients in resource heavy markets and the impending combination with US firm Fulbright & Jaworski further cements its already strong global platform. Ranked 14 in terms of revenue, this firm is out-performing its weight in brand strength."
