Australia: Hall & Wilcox Tax and Private Clients Update Seminar
Last Updated: 20 August 2012

The Hall & Wilcox Taxation and Private Clients teams invite you to our third update for the year.

Following the launch of the ATO's 2012-13 Compliance Program and their 'Risk Differentiation' approach for targeting tax payers and tax practitioners, this seminar will provide a timely opportunity to highlight the trouble spots and how to avoid the ATO's wrath.

Some of the issues the team will be considering include:

  • employee versus contractor – income tax and SGC issues;
  • the fixed trust discussion paper;
  • the loss carry-back rules;
  • trust administration issues – how did 30 June go? and
  • what's in the ATO's sights this year, and why?

The seminar will also be an opportunity to introduce the newest member of our team, Anthony Bradica. The former Head of Deloitte Lawyers, Anthony will add a fresh perspective to our taxation planning and structuring commentary.
