Australia: Moore Stephens Bolsters Capabilities in Sydney and Melbourne
Last Updated: 10 May 2012

Moore Stephens Australia has announced the appointment of 6 former BDO partners into the Sydney and Melbourne independent practices. The appointments take immediate effect.

The appointments add further depth to the Audit area with 3 appointments - John Gavljak and Melissa Alexander joining the Sydney firm and Nick Michael joining the Melbourne firm.

The Sydney practice is further bolstered by the creation of a new Corporate Recovery specialty following the appointment of Trent Hancock and Michael Hird.

The Melbourne practice also secured Brett Fowler into the Business Services division.

Both Brett Fowler and John Gavljak have extensive automotive experience with a portfolio of franchised automotive industry groups and family businesses. Together, they will provide Moore Stephens with the only true mid-tier specialists in this space.

Nick Michaels and Melissa Alexander have a wealth of experience servicing publicly listed enterprises and large SME's. Melissa will add further capability to our well established property industry expertise.

We are delighted to have the new partners join our practices. Their appointments reflect our desire to strengthen our capabilities across key practice areas in support of our strategic goals
