France: Coudert Frères Hires Competition Rising Star

Philippe Rincazaux, attorney specializing in economiclaw and community law, leaves Thomas & Associates - Deloitte & Touche to join Coudert Frères as the head of its Competition Department.

Attorney with the Paris Bar since 1990, Philippe Rincazaux developed his expertise in antitrust law, distribution law, and European and community law through practice in renowned Paris firms. His training is primarily French (DEA Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne) and is supplemented by a certificate from Harvard Law School.

Coudert Frères thus takes on the services of a rising star of antitrust law. He is the author of numerous articles published in leading legal journals and in the economic press and benefits from renowned experience in the areas of energy, telecommunications, communication, distribution, luxury items and agro-business. Philippe Rincazaux has, moreover, been in charge of a course in antitrust law at the ESSEC since 1991. He is a member of the management board of the AFEC, an international rapporteur for the International Antitrust Law League, and active in other professional associations, specifically the MEDEF.

Along with him, Dominique Brault, a renowned figure in the field of competition, author of numerous reference works on antitrust law and policy, also President of the French Association for the Study of Competition (Association Française d’Etude de la Concurrence – AFEC), will continue to co-lead this Department of Coudert Frères.
