Cayman Islands: Solomon Harris Announces New Partnership Appointments

Solomon Harris is pleased to announce its latest appointments to partnership; Sam Dawson and Jonathan Fitzgibbons, of the Firm's Cayman office, and Nick Reid of the Firm's Zurich branch. Sophia Harris, the Firm’s Managing Partner said 'The Firm is pleased to announce these appointments to Partnership as these gentlemen are highly regarded and have outstanding reputations in their field of practice'.

Jonathan Fitzgibbons currently leads his own team within the Firm's Funds department and represents institutional businesses such as Banco Itau, Unibanco, and Harcourt Investment Consulting with their fund and commercial corporate work, whilst Sam Dawson is well known for his work in the insolvency and litigation areas having been involved in a number of important recent decisions on the winding up of Cayman investment funds. Nick Reid is instrumental in the development of the Firm's presence in Europe and since 21st January 2011 he has been active in the management of the Zurich office. The partners look forward to continue working with them in their new role as partners within the Firm.

Jonathan Fitzgibbons is originally from New Zealand and worked with the London office of Washington D.C firm Crowell & Moring in the investment funds and corporate groups before joining Solomon Harris. Sam Dawson is also from New Zealand having worked with Gibson Sheat Lawyers before joining Solomon Harris. Nick Reid is originally from Scotland and having worked for Solomon Harris in its investment funds department, moved to the Dubai branch of the largest law firm based in the Middle East doing investment funds prior to returning to Solomon Harris' Zurich branch.
