Our guest lecturer for the tenth anniversary International Arbitration Lecture will be Essam Al Tamimi

This year's 2011 International Arbitration Lecture will take place on Tuesday 8 November 2011, and this year we are very pleased to announce that our guest lecturer will be Essam Al Tamimi.

This year's topic will be on "Islamic Influences on International Arbitration" and will address the developments and trends in commercial arbitration from an international as well as a regional perspective.

Essam Al Tamimi is one of the United Arab Emirate's most respected international arbitration and litigation specialists. With over 24 years' experience, he has sat on numerous regional and international arbitration panels and is currently the Head Partner at Al Tamimi & Partners, the largest law firm in the Middle East.

The annual Clayton Utz and University of Sydney International Arbitration Lecture is designed to promote and support the development and study of international arbitration and international dispute resolution in Australia and the Asia-Pacific region. Now in its tenth year, the International Arbitration Lecture has become a pinnacle event, attracting attendees from around the globe.
