Last Updated: 29 November 2010

Having recently appointed Vicki Sharp to Middletons Property group in Melbourne, the firm makes another appointment in Perth. New Middletons partner Michael Hain, previously of Corrs, joins the firm in Western Australia having gained considerable experience over 18 years of legal practice.

Middletons National Managing partner, Nick Nichola said "Michael is a fantastic addition to our Perth office as we continue to grow rapidly in an active Perth market."

Mr Nichola added, "Michael's experience and commercial focus developed over a long career will help facilitate that growth."

Michael has significant experience acting in major property acquisitions and subdivisions, strata and residential developments, property leasing and sales. Michael also advises on development strategy, as well as assisting clients on their strategic property portfolios.

Middletons Head of Property, Development and Construction group, Justin Lethlean said, "Michael is a senior property practitioner and we are delighted to have him on board as our team grows in Western Australia. Michael has a diverse range of skills that are often called upon in the property, development and construction industries."

Mr Lethlean said, "Michael is well known for his commercial focus and skills needed for negotiations, contracting, transaction documentation or dispute resolution when required."

In choosing to join Middletons, Michael remarked that "Middletons has long been regarded a leader in property law and I am excited to be part of the firm's growth as it further expands into the Western Australian market, responding to strong demand for its services."

Middletons acts for private developers, listed and unlisted trusts, financial institutions, contractors, government, tenants and joint venturers in acquisitions and disposals, redevelopment, body corporates, syndication and leasing organisations.

Middletons recently won the prestigious BRW ANZ "Private Business of the Year" award for 2010. The BRW ANZ Private Business Awards formally recognise the outstanding achievements of private businesses, and acknowledge the significant and valuable contribution they make to the Australian economy.
