Guernsey: Two Guernsey Funds Win Industry Awards
Last Updated: 24 November 2010

Guernsey domiciled investment funds from managers BlueCrest and F&C have been feted at the Investment Trust of the Year Awards organised by trade publication Investment Week.

The BlueCrest AllBlue Fund Limited was named Best Listed Hedge Fund for the second year in a row and the F&C Commercial Property Trust Limited was named Property Trust of the Year at the awards evening in London on Thursday 18th November.

"We are delighted to receive this award which is a great endorsement of the team and recognises the ability of F&C REIT to drive value for shareholders," said Richard Kirby, Director of Property Funds at F&C REIT Property Asset Management.

F&C Commercial Property Trust Limited is an authorised closed-ended investment company domiciled in Guernsey and listed on the UK main market of the London Stock Exchange. It was launched in 2005, investing in commercial property across the UK and total assets less current liabilities were £819 million at the close of 2009.

BlueCrest AllBlue Fund Limited is a self-managed closed-ended investment company that was incorporated in Guernsey in 2006. It is also listed on the UK main market of the London Stock Exchange and seeks to provide consistent long-term capital growth through the separate AllBlue Limited and its underlying basket of hedge fund investments.

Richard Crowder, Chairman of BlueCrest AllBlue Fund Limited, said: "We are delighted to win this prestigious award for the second year in succession. We believe that BlueCrest AllBlue’s single manager multi fund structure is continuing to bear fruit, and we thank our investors – old and new – for their support."

The BlueCrest AllBlue Fund has asset management provided by BlueCrest Capital Management LLP which underwent a reorganisation earlier this year, migrating its trade and operations to Guernsey.

Trade magazine Investment Week has been published for 15 years with a readership including nearly 5,000 independent financial advisers from the UK. In addition, there is now also the online format which is viewed nearly 50,000 times each month.

This year was the 12th annual awards, recognising trusts that produce consistent performance and where the indications are that investors will not be disappointed in the future. It is based on quantitative data from the last three years and qualitative analysis of questionnaire responses from a panel of judges.
