We are delighted to announce that Clayton Utz Partner Graeme Dennis was recently appointed co-head of our Energy & Resources group.

Graeme has extensive experience in major energy projects, energy trading, carbon trading, energy market regulation and reform, and the acquisition of energy businesses.

He has advised on a range of electric power and gas projects involving project finance and energy purchase and trading contracts, including the development of energy futures, swaps and hedges.

Graeme has a reputation for developing innovative solutions to complex issues, particularly in the carbon trading, greenhouse and energy areas. He was voted by peers as one of Australia's Best Lawyers in 2009 and 2010.

Commenting on his appointment Graeme said "Energy and Resources is a linch-pin of the Australian economy and a key strength for Clayton Utz. This is a robust market but one which is constantly evolving and adjusting. Australia is a focal point for the region's resource buyers and Clayton Utz is at the forefront of developments in the sector."
