United States: Claire Rauscher Speaks On Internal Investigations At ACC Greater Philadelphia Chapter Event
Last Updated: August 18 2017

KING OF PRUSSIA, PA.—Womble Carlyle white collar criminal defense attorney Claire Rauscher spoke on "To Catch a Thief: You Don't Have to Be a Criminal To Think Like One" to an engaged audience made up of members of the Association of Corporate Counsel's Greater Philadelphia Chapter.

Trade secrets, customer data, financial records and other confidential information increasingly are under attack.  But while most companies focus their security efforts on external threats (i.e., hackers), their highest security risks may lie within their own company.  Employees have access to confidential information—and may understand how to avoid internal security measures.  So what are best practices to protect your company from internal thieves? In this panel, Rauscher and Axalta Coating Systems Assistant General Counsel Tabitha Oman shared how company information is at risk from internal threats, and how in-house counsel can best defend their valued assets.

The presentation was part of the ACC Greater Philadelphia Chapter's Ethics, Real Estate, PLUS Contracts & Commercial Law CLE Institute. The event took place Aug. 8 and attracted in-house attorneys from Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware. Womble Carlyle attorney Kristen Cramer and Director of Client Service Candace Gill also attended the event.

Womble Carlyle is a silver sponsor of the ACC Greater Philadelphia Chapter.

Claire Rauscher brings more than 25 years of courtroom experience to Womble Carlyle's White Collar Criminal Defense and Cyber & Privacy Law teams. Rauscher focuses her practice on complex white collar litigation, and has represented clients in all phases of state and federal proceedings, including pre-indictment investigations, grand jury practice and criminal trials.
