Australia: Sexual Harassment Industry Round Table
Last Updated: 20 September 2010

Gerard Phillips, head of the Middletons Workplace Relations & Safety Group, speaks with Elizabeth Broderick (Australian Human Rights Commission), Peter Wilson (Australian Human Resources Commission) and Susan Heron (Australian Institute of Management) in an industry roundtable discussion on workplace sexual harassment in Australia.

The group addresses the current reluctance of employees who are affected by workplace sexual harassment to escalate complaints. They examine the causes of this behaviour and how organisations should act to deal with this topical issue. The discussion also highlights the need for legal changes affecting the accountability of individuals versus companies.
