Matheson has announced the appointment of three new senior roles in its Technology and Innovation Group. Anne-Marie Bohan, a Partner at the firm, has been appointed Head of the firm's Technology and Innovation Group while Deirdre Kilroy and Chris Bollard join the firm as Partners within the Group.

Anne-Marie Bohan has over 20 years' experience in technology-related legal matters and has significant experience advising on technology and privacy legal issues. In addition to leading the firm's Technology and Innovation Group, she is also a member of the Asset Management and Investment Funds Group at Matheson.

Deirdre Kilroy has joined the firm as a Partner and Head of Intellectual Property. Deirdre is recognised as one of Ireland's leading intellectual property law, technology and data privacy specialists. Deirdre holds a BCL and LLM from University College Dublin.

Chris Bollard has joined the firm as a partner and will lead the firm's new San Francisco office together with West Coast Head Partner, Mark O'Sullivan. Chris is a recognised expert in IT law, data privacy, e-commerce and intellectual property. He holds an LLM in Law, Science and Technology from Stanford University Law School.

Commenting on the appointments, Michael Jackson, Managing Partner at Matheson, said: "I am delighted to announce these appointments at a time of strong business growth in the areas of IT, IP and FinTech and Innovation. In response to our market footprint in these areas and to further support our clients, we have refocused the firm's technology and innovation practice to bring together the relevant technology, financial services and regulatory aspects of our business, along with integrating more fully our legal expertise in IT, financial services, regulatory, IP, data privacy, cyber security and outsourcing. I wish Anne-Marie, Deirdre and Chris every success in their new positions."
