United States: Michael Hazel Selected For Prestigious Leadership Denver Program
Last Updated: August 14 2017

Michael Hazel, a counsel in the Denver office of WilmerHale, has been selected to participate in Leadership Denver, the Rocky Mountain region's most prestigious leadership program. As a member of the class of 2018, Hazel will participate in a year-long program that immerses him in the challenges and opportunities facing Denver, including those related to education, transportation, poverty and healthcare.

Hazel was selected for the incredibly competitive program based on the strength of his professional and community service credentials. Many of Colorado's most successful and influential leaders are alumni of the Leadership Denver program, including Denver Mayor Michael Hancock and former Colorado Governor Bill Ritter, as well as senior executives of companies such as Molson Coors, Comcast, Noble Energy, Kaiser Permanente, DaVita, Deloitte Consulting, Wells Fargo and CenturyLink.

"Michael is respected by both his colleagues and his clients for his ability to find innovative solutions to complex problems, and that is the same approach he takes to his pro bono and other community service commitments," said Andy Spielman, co-partner-in-charge of the Denver office and chair of the firm's Energy, Environment and Natural Resources Practice. "We thank the Denver Metro Chamber Leadership Foundation for its tremendous work and for accepting Michael for its class of 2018, and we thank Michael for his continued commitment to our community."
