Jersey: Ogier Shortlisted For International Legal Team Of The Year At STEP Private Client Awards 2017
Last Updated: 20 July 2017

Ogier has been shortlisted for the prestigious International Legal Team of the Year at the STEP Private Client Awards 2017.

Ogier's Senior Partner Steve Meiklejohn has also been nominated in the Peoples' Choice Trusted Advisor of the Year category.

The firm, which has offices in BVI, Cayman, Hong Kong, Guernsey, Jersey and Luxembourg, is listed in the mid-sized firm's category, and Steve was nominated for the Peoples' Choice Award by an independent panel of experts.

To be considered for the International Legal Team of the Year award, a firm must demonstrate a world-leading approach to multi-jurisdictional issues on their clients' behalf, provide integrated advice across multiple jurisdictions and take a proactive approach to innovation and assisting the wider legal profession through ongoing publication of thought leadership.

Ogier's Global Head of Private Client and Trusts, partner Sally Edwards, said: "The STEP Private Client Awards are recognised as a clear mark of excellence as entries go through a rigorous, practitioner-led judging process to be selected as the best in the industry.

"Having grown our Private Client and Trusts teams with the addition of three new partners as well as several experienced associate lawyers in the last 12 months, we are very pleased to have been shortlisted for the STEP award again.

"Steve's nomination for the Trusted Advisor of the Year category is also very pleasing, and it demonstrates the high esteem with which he is held in the private client sphere."

The awards ceremony will be held on 6 September 2017 at the Westminster Park Plaza Hotel in London.
