United States: Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan Brings Economic Development Message To U.K.; Bond Dickinson & Womble Carlyle Host London Event
Last Updated: July 3 2017

LONDON—Maryland is open for business, and Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan brought that message to the U.K. at a special event organized by Bond Dickinson and Womble Carlyle.

Bond Dickinson's London office hosted a June 22nd reception with Gov. Hogan and Maryland Commerce Secretary Mike Gill, who discussed business opportunities in Maryland.

Situated close to the nation's capital and with the world's leading hospital in Johns Hopkins and a strong university system, Maryland offers great opportunity for companies looking to expand in the U.S.  Gov. Hogan and Sec. Gill shared more about the dynamic industries that fuel Maryland's economy, including Aerospace & Defense, IT & Cybersecurity, FinTech, BioHealth & Life Sciences, and more.

Baltimore Office Managing Partner David Hamilton and Director of Client Service Candace Gill organized the event for Womble Carlyle.

In June, Bond Dickinson and Womble Carlyle approved a combination to create Womble Bond Dickinson, a transatlantic law firm with offices in 23 cities across the United States and United Kingdom.
