United States: Akin Gump Hosts Mid-Year Energy Briefing—Focus On FERC, Asia, Environment, Tax Reform

(Houston) – On June 14, Akin Gump lawyers held the firm's semiannual energy briefing in its Houston office, with guests in attendance at the event as well as via webinar around the world.

The panel was moderated by oil and gas partner John Goodgame. Presenters were energy regulation, markets and enforcement practice co-chair Chip Cannon; oil and gas partner Michael Joyce; environment and natural resources partner Stacey Mitchell; and global project finance partner John Marciano.

Among the topics covered at the briefing were:

  • the projected impact of a new quorum at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission
