Wayne Myles, QC, Counsel with Cox & Palmer, has been appointed Chair of the Newfoundland Labrador Liquor Corporation (NLC) Board of Directors. The appointment was recently announced by the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador and was recommended through the Independent Appointments Commission.

Wayne is a seasoned and highly-regarded commercial lawyer. He has a broad range of expertise in international and domestic mergers and acquisitions, corporate commercial, and general legal and consulting matters. Wayne's experience, commitment, and leadership, combined with his passion for a successful Atlantic Canadian business economy, will no doubt be an asset to the NLC.

Wayne will serve a three-year term, effective May 11, 2017.

The NLC is a provincial Crown corporation responsible for managing the information, sale and distribution of beverage alcohol within the province.
