Gauri Prakash-Canjels, Ph.D. was appointed the Chair of Valuation and Taxation Committee of The Licensing Executives Society. The objective of the Valuation and Taxation Committee is to provide a forum for education, discussion, networking and dissemination of information relating to valuation and tax issues that arise in development, technology transfer, and licensing of patents and other intellectual property. The Licensing Executives Society is a professional society comprising of more than 6,000 members that are engaged in development and use (including licensing) of intellectual property.

Dr. Prakash-Canjels is a Vice President and a Member of the Leadership Team at ARPC in Washington, DC. She specializes in damage estimation for patent and other intellectual property infringement lawsuits, and has been retained as an expert in a patent misuse case regarding market definition and attempted monopolization. She has also conducted valuation of patents for licensing/bankruptcy proceedings. Dr. Prakash-Canjels has experience in damage estimation for antitrust lawsuits, and in commercial disputes such as breach of contract, tortious interference, wrongful termination, and business valuation/bankruptcy.

Dr. Prakash-Canjels has taught courses in Economics and Statistics at graduate and undergraduate levels. She has published extensively on topics of patent valuation and damages, trademark damages, and competitive issues such as Robinson-Patman act, and patent injunctions and competition. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Northwestern University.
