Last Updated: 26 May 2017

HopgoodGanim is very proud to announce that they will join forces with iconic Perth-based resources and projects firm, Hunt & Humphry on 1 July 2017.

With HopgoodGanim's existing operations in Brisbane and Perth, the move to join with Hunt & Humphry will boost the footprint of both brands across the country enabling the combined firm to offer an even larger team of mining, energy, corporate, tenure and infrastructure specialists to their national and international client base along with specialist WA Warden's Court expertise.

Hunt & Humphry is recognised in the leading legal guides as one of the premier firms in Australia for its focus on mining and infrastructure. Led by mining and resources doyen, Michael Hunt, they advise on a full range of transactions and project development issues including structuring, resources and infrastructure tenure issues, land use and access, native title and Aboriginal heritage, property, environment, construction and State agreements.

The two firms will join forces under the HopgoodGanim brand from day one with the Hunt & Humphry leadership team of Michael Hunt, Paul Harley, Josh Hunt and James Hunt supported by their experienced associates joining the combined firm.

"The partners at H&H would like to thank everyone that has been a part of building our firm's reputation over many years, notably Conrad Marais who is returning to the UK this year. The firm wishes him well and looks forward to an ongoing association with Conrad and Trinity International."

HopgoodGanim's Managing Partner, Bruce Humphrys believes the arrival of Hunt & Humphry's lawyers will enhance the firm's premium offering to clients.

"HopgoodGanim has a recognised strength and presence in the mining, energy and projects sector and we have long admired the incredible reputation of Hunt & Humphry as a premium resources and infrastructure firm both within WA and internationally. This move is about playing to our strengths and continuing to deliver up to our clients a firm of leading and trusted sector specialists."

Michael Hunt points out the move offers significant value to Hunt & Humphry's clientele.

"HopgoodGanim is a significant and very reputable mid-tier firm with a reputation for exceptional service, a relationship culture and gifted legal technicians. Our clients will now have the benefit of a full service commercial offering and a large team of legal and commercial advisers in the west and east."
